Midweek Confessions
So, this is my first time doing midweek confessions. Here goes nothing...
For a while, I thought that I would make all of Timmy's baby food. I bought the containers to put in the freezer and the labels for the container. I also bought a masher to make the food even more fine. I even made him some sweet potatoes, butternut squash, and bananas. But, I rarely ever fed him real food. So now, I finally bit the bullet and bought him store bought baby food. He loves it!
Continuing with the topic of store bought baby food.....my husband likes to try each baby food that he gives Timothy. He says the fruits are good but not the veggie/meat stuff. He keeps asking me if I want to try it but unfortunately, I will be declining.
I have never owned a home before but now my husband are selling one home and renting another. Yay for things you didn't want to inherit!
On that note, I feel really young talking to real estate agents and real estate lawyers. But, I guess it is time for me to put on my big girl panties.
I have been watching 'the Voice' this season. At first, I liked it but I am not so crazy about it anymore. I now realize that I prefer watching 'real' shows instead of singing competitions. Yet, I will not stop watching it because I at least want to finish the season. ha.
That's all I can think of for this week :)

11 Questions
I don't blog that often because I am still on the fence about this whole having a blog and writing in it. haha. But, recently Erika tagged me in this little questionnaire thing. I will answer the questions but I won't tag anybody. HA!!!!
Rules For Bloggers: (you must repost these and modify them)
1. Post these rules.
2. You must post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post.4. Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
Section 1: 11 Random Things About Myself
1. I never thought anything about the state of Vermont until I moved here a year ago and I still keep wondering how I ended up here.
2. I have never had a dog before in my life and I do not plan on getting one anytime either. In fact, I do not plan on getting any pets in the future.
3. I live in a village.
4. When I was a kid, I loved 'Tickle Time' with my daddy. It was one of the best memories of my childhood.
5. My favorite teacher in school was my 4th grade teacher, Mrs. H. I don't remember exactly what she did to be so great but I was really sad when she moved halfway through the school year.
6. I enjoyed going to the dentist when I was younger because I got to read 'Highlights' magazines while I waited and I got to pick out a toy when I was done seeing the dentist.
7. I love to read books.
8. One of my favorite things about going to the library when I was younger was playing the game 'Oregon Trail' on the computers.
9. I want to learn how to knit.
10. I watch TV on occasion but I never really watch a show for the entire season. Right now, I am trying to watch 'The Voice' , 'Celebrity Apprentice', 'The Biggest Loser' and 'The Firm' for this entire season. Wish me luck!
11. One of my favorite smoothies to make is a banana smoothie. Yum!
Part 3: My Questions for YOU
1. How many pairs of shoes do YOU own? (I need to know if I'm normal)
1. How many pairs of shoes do YOU own? (I need to know if I'm normal)
I own 25-30 shoes but I don't wear them all. I should probably give some of them away but instead I shall hoard them. And I share call them 'my treasures'.
2. If you had to have one type of plastic surgery done (and it were free), what would you pick
This is a tough call. Growing up, I would have had plastic surgery on my ears to make them not stick out so much. Today, I would choose between a tummy tuck, a stretch mark remover surgery, or a tattoo removal.
3. If you could have one exotic animal for a pet, what would you choose?
I have a strong anti-pet belief system. So I would have a Piranha stuffed animal instead.
4. What was your (first, most memorable, lamest, you pick) AOL Instant Messenger screen name? When did you stop using AIM (or DID YOU)?
I had one AIM screen name but I cannot remember it. I hardly used it except to talk to some random boy in Alabama.
5. If you had to move to another country tomorrow, which country would it be?
I would move to somewhere with a warm climate, like Puerto Rico. I would live by the sea and have an awesome tan :)
6. If you had to enter the Witness Protection Program and get a new identity, what would you choose as your new name?
I cannot imagine myself ever being in the WPP but if I was, my new identity would be Amelia Bedelia.
7. Do you believe aliens could (or do) exist?
Nope.
8. What's your favorite book?
8. What's your favorite book?
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
9. If you could be on a reality show, which one would you choose? (All are fair game: trashy ones (Temptation Island?? Haha), contest ones (Survivor, The Apprentice), as well as stuff like House Hunters)
9. If you could be on a reality show, which one would you choose? (All are fair game: trashy ones (Temptation Island?? Haha), contest ones (Survivor, The Apprentice), as well as stuff like House Hunters)
I just recently have started watching 'the Nate Berkus Show'. It comes on at 2 pm during the day which is usually when Timmy is napping. During the show, they have a section called 'house proud'. Basically, people show Nate their home and tell them how proud they are of all the work they have done on it to make it look it so wonderful. I would love to have a house to be a proud of and show it on there. Until that time, I will need some help from the Nate Berkus show to make it look good. Hahaha. Or maybe I will get another show to remodel my house and then show it on the Nate Berkus show in the house proud section. hahah.
10. If you had to live in another era, which one would you want to live in?
I would live in the 50s because I am sure that life was pretty 'PG' back then. Also, I really like modern conveniences and would not want to give them up.
11. If you were going to invite me over for dinner, what would you serve?
I would make some Mexican food.
Our weekend
This weekend was pretty good :)
On Friday night, I did quite a bit of crafting. It felt great!
On Saturday, Timmy slept in until 9:00 am which was great getting an extra hour of sleep. As soon as he woke up, Tom, Timmy and I got ready and then hopped in the car. We decided to go to Waterbury, VT which is about 45 minutes away from where we live. We thought that Timothy would take a nap in the car but he ended up staying awake the whole time. We finally arrived at our destination which was the Cold Hollow Cider Mill. I was able to sample lots of different apple butters. They were delicious. We also ate some cider donuts and Tom got some hot apple cider. Cider donuts are so delicious and they are definitely one of my most favorite foods in Vermont. Although we live 45 minutes from the Cider Mill, we are still able to buy their apple cider in our local grocery store which is a big chain store. Although they do make all their cider and apple products there, there were not producing anything when we went there. They did have an informational video that we could watch to learn more about the cider making process. It was pretty interesting. Apparently, they harvest the apples from local farms and then crush them into small pieces. They then lay them on a sheet and put a wooden frame around. They pile up apple stuff on like 20 layers and then they have this machine that squeezes out all the juice out of the apple. With the remaining apple junk, they give it to local farms for the animals to eat.
Once we were done watching the video, we played some checkers and then went outside to take some pictures.
After we went to the Cider Mill, we decided to drive a couple miles down the road to the Cabot Cheese Store. This place was amazing! The reason why it was so great was because it had so many samples to try. When I went to the store, I never realized that they had so many cheeses to try. They had like 20-25 different cheeses to try which were are all really good. My favorite was probably the Pepper Jack Cheese. Along with trying cheese, we also got to try some popcorn, dips, crackers and some maple butter. While we were there, we also found out that the Cabot Factory was 30 minutes away from Waterbury. We were tempted to go visit there but we will try to go visit there another weekend.
The last place that we went for the day was the Green Mountain Coffee Visitor Center and Cafe. The Visitor Center was in this old train station. It was a pretty cool building. They had a bunch of different displays and things to read about coffee. It was pretty interesting. After we read all the stuff, Tom got some coffee but I decided not to. I was a little disappointed that the Visitor Center wasn't giving away any free samples of anything. I mean, Green Mountain Coffee is a pretty big company. I was expecting something like the World of Coke but I was sorely wrong. I guess I forgot for a second that Vermont is a small state so there isn't really any big Visitor Centers or museums or much of anything really. haha
After we left the Green Mountain place, we went back home because Timothy had yet to nap all day. As soon as we got in the car, he fell asleep. Once we got home, we sat in the car with him while he slept so he could get a good nap. We then got ready because we were meeting some friends to go to a silent/live auction. I ended up buying some museums passes to a science museum during the live auction. Overall, it was a pretty fun time for my first time of going to a live/silent auction. I can't wait to use the museum passes over the summer.
That's for all now. I need to finish watching "the Voice" on TV ;)

diy headboard
I made a headboard recently and I am just now getting around to posting it. Ha.
I have been thinking about making a headboard for quite some time. I was first inspired to make one when my brother and sis in law made one. But, my brother told me it was a pain to make and just to go buy one. So, I looked for a good deal on a craiglist headboard but I never felt like spending the money on one. Ha. One day while I was scouring pinterest, I came across this wonderful tutorial about making a headboard and I thought it was perfectly doable. Here is the link for that post: http://theitgirlproject.com/2011/08/17/diy-custom-nailhead-headboard/
I kinda followed this tutorial and ended up making my own headboard. I am pretty happy with the results but I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Ha.
While I was taking pictures of the bed, Tom and Timothy were playing on the floor in the room :)
Now that I have finished posting about that, I might get around to posting about my crafts this weekend and what we did over the weekend.
